Review - On The Rocks by Alyssa Rose Ivy

Thank you to Ink Slinger PR for providing me with a copy

The second in the Mixology series, On The Rocks is a contemporary romance that promise some hot men and some hot scenes!

Now I hadn't read the first book Shaken Not Stirred but it did not matter, I felt this book can easily be read as a stand alone. It has several main characters - you have Maddy and her boyfriend Colin, Colin's sister Carly and Maddy's best friend Macon.

The book is written from the POV of both Carly and Macon, which works well, The book starts with Carly turning up unannounced at Colin's house in the beach town of Corolla, North Carolina after finishing college.

She quickly falls in to the beach life and starts to make friends, including Maddy's two flat mates Macon and Brody and gets herself a job working as a restaurant hostess to pay her way.

Macon has a bit of a reputation as a man about town but he sees something in Carly and he sets out to get to know her better, including doing some outrageous flirting.

When Maddy is persuaded by Colin to move in together Carly is invited to stay with the boys and this is where her relationship with Macon really steps up a gear, can they stay just friends?

There is one fly in the ointment, a problem from Carly's past, the reason she doesn't speak to her older sister Kim or her parents, could this be enough to stop anything happening between Macon and Carly?

On The Rocks is a great read, I read it all in one sitting, the characters where great, I am intrigued by Brody the quiet flat mate, you know what the say about the quiet ones!

If you are looking for a romance with a nice twist to it, then I'd recommend this!

On The Rocks is awarded 4 out of 5
