A year after Tabby Nolan’s sister vanished from the Lake Michigan shore with her boyfriend, Liam, Tabby visits the spot where the two were last seen– and finds herself pulled into the crumbling world of Avalon.

Since his disappearance, Liam has been trapped in the mythical land, with no link to the world he knew. Now, their shared memories of Tabby’s missing sister are all they can cling to as Avalon dies around them.

But Tabby doesn’t want to be a replacement for her sister, and her growing attachment to Liam feels like a betrayal. As Avalon fades around them, Liam and Tabby must rely on each other– or be lost with the ancient kingdom forever.

For perpetual overachiever Madison Lane, a summer studying Arthurian mythology in the Welsh countryside with professor Thomas Evans is a dream come true, and the adventure of a lifetime.

Of course, the enormous crush Madison developed on the professor after a semester of his lectures at U of M has absolutely nothing to do with her desire to learn more about the enduring legend of Camelot. At least, that’s what she’s telling her parents.

When Madison meets fellow student Rhys Crewe, sparks fly, throwing her plans for wild fling with Professor Evans completely out of whack—as do her unexpectedly complicated feelings for Thomas. With tales of Arthur and Lancelot haunting her every waking moment, Madison has to make the most difficult choice of her life.

A Choice Fit For A Queen

I couldn’t account for the automatic trust I felt with Rhys. I thought back over the few years of my adult life I had behind me, and I couldn’t remember a single time I would have gone into the woods with a guy I’d known for a handful of hours. There was just something about him. So when our gazes met, and he leaned in, I leaned in, too. When our lips touched, his hand came up to cup my cheek with feather-soft pressure. My lips parted on a shaking breath, and he pulled back just slightly.
“I’m sorry,” he said, his voice low. “I should have asked first.”
“It’s okay,” I near-whispered. I couldn’t believe I’d just kissed him. What about Thom? What if I hurt him?
But Rhys was so kind, and gentle and thoughtful. That wasn’t what I’d thought I wanted. Sitting in this fairy tale setting, so close that I could feel the heat of his skin on my arm, magic was happening. But I didn’t even believe in magic.
When he asked, “May I?” I said “yes.”
He kissed me the way people kiss in movies. He kissed me the way Lancelot must have kissed Guinevere to make her turn her back on Camelot. My chest rose with the painful swell of emotion beneath my ribs, and I gripped his upper arm to keep my lack of balance from toppling us both off the stone.
Jesus. His triceps were like iron.
A spike of reality jabbed through my brain. Whether or not this was hot, and no matter how much I liked Rhys, I didn’t know what was going on in Thom’s head. It seemed cruel and unfair to... well, I guess it couldn’t really be called cheating, since Thom and I still hadn’t defined our relationship. But it sure felt like I was cheating, and that was enough.
“Wait.” I leaned back, one hand on Rhys’s chest. “I can’t do this.”
“You seemed to be doing fine,” he said with a small, rueful laugh. “Let me guess. You’ve got a guy back home.”
There was no reason to lie to him. “No. I have a guy here. I’m kind of... seeing Thom. Professor Evans.”
Rhys’s eyebrows shot up. He blinked few times. “I can’t say I was expecting that.”
“Neither was I, believe me.” I’d hoped for it, but things had gone further than I’d expected. And way differently. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to lead you on and then friend zone you—“
“Whoa.” He held up his hands. “First of all, I don’t believe in the ‘friend zone.’ If there is one, and you’re putting me there, then fine. Why would I reject friendship?”
Okay. He had a point.
“And you didn’t lead me on,” he reminded me. “I kissed you.”

About the Authors

When Jessica isn’t working to get words on the page, she passes the time with her amazing husband and four children, attempting to be crafty (and failing miserably), squeeing uncontrollably over her favorite shows or curling up with a good book.

Bronwyn Green is an author, blogger and compulsive crafter. She lives Michigan with her husband, two sons and three somewhat-psychotic cats. When not frantically writing, she can be found helping in her youngest son’s classroom or binge-watching Netflix while working on her latest craft project. Bronwyn loves to talk to her readers and can be found at www.bronwyngreen.com

Jenny Trout is an author, blogger, and funny person. Writing as Jennifer Armintrout, she made the USA Today bestseller list with Blood Ties Book One: The Turning.
