The Sunday Post - #6 - 28th June 2015

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I'm gonna recap my week and give you an idea of what I have coming up plus anything else newsworthy!

Lots to report this week!

This has been a long week but a quick week, which is a contradiction I know! Been crazy busy at work and I stupidly managed to get a shedload of blitzes on the blog (for great books I may add) on just about each day of the week.

I made the schoolboy error of not noting things down properly but hey all well and some of those books look crazy good.

Anyway I was out for a walk tonight with my furbaby and I was thinking what shall I put in my Sunday Post....

I had a lightbulb moment and I decided to share with you some beautiful pictures of where I live, I love seeing pictures from all around the world as many of the blogs I follow are dotted here, there and everywhere - but if you are not nosey like me I won't be offended if you skip to the next section, go on I don't mind!

So for those still here, welcome to my world!

I am lucky to have on my doorstep the Birks O' Aberfeldy (I'm in Scotland BTW!), It is a beautiful but steep walk around the Falls (waterfalls) of Moness, the Scottish Poet Robbie Burns wrote a famous poem about it many years ago!

Sorry the pictures aren't totally fantastic, used my iPhone! Above is some of the falls, it is like being in a rainforest! Except it is cold and in Scotland!

Trees are everywhere, at this time of year it is so lush and green!

My dog loves it up here, there are so many animals, loads of different scents and lots of tourists for her to discover.  I love this time of year as I don't risk going round it during winter time as some of the paths have steep drops with no fences!

Quiet country road, this not the main road before you ask, I do live in near civilisation!

Spot the thistle above!

I hope you enjoyed my pics, it is something a bit different from my complaining about my kids!

This week I have also considered doing some different with my blog, something that is me, starting with this...

I wanted to do something more original, I love have features such as blitzes but after overdoing them this week, I felt like I need to show more me which is going to be the kick up the arse I need to clear my TBR pile, well maybe by the year 2020.

I have really started brainstorming and have sitting on my blogger drafts folder lots of ideas for posts, so expect a total stream of consciousness coming in your direction soon.

In other news I got one of these from NetGalley

I don't know if it is a big deal or not but hey it looks pretty with my other two!

I have also been experimenting with Instagram, I have no idea what I am doing but feel free to follow me here!

I think that is all for this week!

Have a great week everyone!

Less than last week!!!

I have received physical and e-copies of some fab books this week, thank you to all the publishers for sending them! Let me know if you have read any of them!

Happy Sunday!

  2. Ah I love the scenery! Scotland is one of the places I want to visit before I die, so happy to see it even if only in pictures. :) I love getting a glimpse of other people's lives as well (I'm nosy, yes), a peek of some sort.

    Anyway, have a great week!

  14. What a beautiful place to live (or live near!) I've loved the few visits I've made to Scotland, especially the highlands - it's one of the homes of my heart, though I've never lived there. (I must be channeling my Murdock [MacDonald] ancestors!) Of course, I've never been there in the winter... I think the darkness would depress me. But I love the cool summer weather!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! It's lovely to "meet" you! And congratulations on the NetGalley approval thingy. :-)
