BEYOND THE BOOKS - Favourite Foods

KissinBlueKaren

Beyond the Blog is a weekly meme hosted by KissinBlueKaren where she throws out a topic (mostly non-bookish), and we blog about it!

This week - Our favourite foods and a recipe!

So I love food and food loves me at home here in Scotland my favourite foods of all are....

Chocolate (but not white)
Wensleydale Cheese with Cranberries
Cold Custard
Marzipan anything
Stuffed crust pepperoni pizza
A nice red apple
Mozzarella sticks
Jelly beans
Salmon
Savoury crackers
Spicy Chili

All of the above totally nearly healthy, If you are a regular you will know I usually go to Orlando on holiday and the best thing about Orlando is the food I can't get here which includes...

FIVE GUYS
(has opened in Glasgow but convinced it won't taste the same)

IHOP
French toast, stuffed french toast........drooling

TACO BELL
Mmmm seven layer burrito, mmmm cinnamon things..
EARL OF SANDWICH
mmmm holiday sandwich

GHIRARDELLI'S
Can never pronounce it but mmmm come to Heather...

I am hopeless with recipes as I am a dash of this and a dash of that type of gal, so no recipe I am afraid.

What is your fave food?

Sweet or Savoury?

Mild or Spicy?

Let me know!!

  1. White chocolate is my least favorite of the chocolates. I definitely have a sweet tooth. Mmm. Stuff crust pizza. I haven't always liked it, but I do nowadays. :-)

  2. I love chocolate as well, although I prefer milk chocolates over white or dark. I eat cold custrad daily, although i still can't used to it to how in eglish it's called custard as what we call custard here is different than what you call custard which is "Vla" here. I love pizza, although no peperoni for me. I also like marizpan, although I do have to be in the mood for that. Here in the netherlands they sell a lto fo marzipan around "Sinterklaas".
In general I prefer sweet over salty, although I like some good pizza or instant noodles when I want something salty. And I prefer mild over spicy, I can't stomach spicy food at all, it burns my mouth away and then I can't enjoy my food.

    1. Chocolate covered marzipan is also a delicious mix too! Vla, I like the sound of that!

Cold custard is the best, I just love it and could eat pots and pots of the stuff!

  3. You can have my share of Taco Bell but so yum on everything else! I love love love 5 Guys and it makes me incredibly sad that my husband doesn't. Luckily my dad loves it so we meet up there once a month or so for some burger gluttony. We don't have an Earl of Sandwich here but they're so good! I really wish they did. I'm totally with you on not being a white chocolate fan and I love the Wensleydale Cheese with Cranberries. I get it in small blocks and portion it out to myself!

    1. See we think IHOP is cheap compared to what we have back home. I would be at Taco Bell everyday if it was 2 miles away!
