The Sunday Post #18 - 20th September 2015

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I'm gonna recap my week and give you an idea of what I have coming up plus anything else newsworthy!

Soooo hey everyone, lovely week here in my part of the world. Kids have been ok, other drivers not so much in my road, work good, lots of books read too!

Lots of books read, means I have lots to review, which also means I have to get my finger out and type them up.  I am so enjoying my new leaner schedule, I am getting more books read and don't feel so stressy about getting things done plus it gives me more time to visit other blogs too.

I also got my haircut this week from being below my chest it is now above my shoulders, so today I have been swishing my hair about the that L'Oreal "because your worth it" ad.  Maybe I should be Shorter Random Redheaded Ramblings!

I apologise in advance if I don't visit your Sunday Posts today, I am attending a trade fair with work today to look at many nice things in Glasgow so I am away all day, there may also be shopping and food involved.

Have a lovely day, see you all next week (or maybe before)!!

    1. I see the Hyperbole and a Half creator has a couple of books, so may have to investigate them!

  2. I'm planning to give The Maze Runner another try at some point. Now that I know what issues I had with it, maybe I can work through them and finish it off before I go and watch the film which I REALLY want to see!

    1. The film looks good, so does the second film as well, it was the trailer for it that prompted me to try it!

  3. Enjoy your trade fair and shopping, sounds like a fun day! I feel like the only blogger in the world never to have read a Sarah Maas book but I do plan to rectify that soon! The Last Town looks good too. Happy reading :)

  4. Sounds like you had a great week, Heather :) And your new books look excellent! I'm glad you love your new haircut, sometimes, chopping hair off is like feeling much lighter. I don't have much to chop up, but I love changing it around quite a bit ;)
Have fun at the trade fair today!
Have a fantastic week ahead and happy reading.

  6. I always enjoyed going to our state's gift shop trade fair when I helped run a small museum gift shop. And I do like reading the books more than writing the reviews (I admit it!). And, often I am not where I can stop and write a review right away so I start a new audiobook immediately. I am a bad reviewer (slaps hand). I try to write them down though so I remember what I am supposed to review.

  7. Yay for the new haircut! That must be a big change from so long to shorter now.
It's been a while since I got such a drastic haircut, I cut my hair so short for the last time when I started uni and then vowed to never do that again as short hair doesn't suit me. My hair is so thick my head looks very roudn when it's short. So long hair it is for me, My hair is till my lower back at the moment.
I hope you'll have fun at the trade fair.

    1. I did that too, I got it really short and I just looked awful in the pictures. My hair is thick too so I am just figuring out how to keep it in check now, may have have to save up for straighteners.

      Trade fair was lovely!

  11. The Trade Fair sounds interesting, so I hope you enjoy(ed) it.

I'm glad the new schedule is working... I need to stress a bit less about my reviewing and remember I read because I LOVE books!

I'm also glad you're loving the shorter hair. Am thinking about something similar myself.

  13. I have had my hair short for a ling time, just now thinking I will let it grow out. I need to thin down my schedule, this whole year has been crazy reading. I am keeping November and December light so I can (hopefully) get ahead with all the awesome books I have received lately that are being published next year.
Ghostly looks like a good October read. I loved Heir of Fire and Queen of Shadows, I hope you love them both. The End of the World as We Knew It looks really good too. I hope you enjoy all your new reads!

  14. I hope you really like the Maze Runner books! Funnily enough plenty of people have difficultly loving them although I enjoyed them to bits <3 And the movies are pretty cool too! Oh, and the Loreal gifs I have been seeing around are hilarious ^^
