Beyond the Books - My Anti-Bucket List

KissinBlueKaren

Beyond the Blog is a weekly meme hosted by KissinBlueKaren where she throws out a topic (mostly non-bookish), and we blog about it!

This week - The ANTI BUCKET LIST!!

This is a list of stuff I hope to never, ever, ever, want to do, ever!!

START SMOKING

I have been stopped for many years, do not want to relapse!  I am sure if I hadn't started smoking at an early age I may have grown taller!!!

GET ARRESTED

No officer it wasn't me, it will never be me!!

STOP SWEARING
I f***ing love bloody swearing, I have a potty mouth, it is staying that way!  Some say swearing shows a lack of vocabulary, I say that is a load of b******s!

BECOME A GYM BUNNY
No danger,  life is too short to sweat in unflattering lycra!  I'd rather walk the dog!

EXPERIENCE BAD TURBULENCE (AGAIN)
We me and the family go on our hols we usually have to cross the Atlantic, for some reason there is always a shit load of turbulent air near America, this troubles me.  Especially when you are trying to relax and the plane drops from beneath you.  NEVER AGAIN PLEASE!

Of course there are other more sensible things that I hope never happen but for now this is me!

What do you hope you never, ever experience?

  1. LOL about swearing! Yeah I'm not much for giving that up either... that made me laugh. And I used to smoke... hard to believe now. College ya know... :)

    Love the upside down plane!

    1. Swearing is the best!! Yep I could have been 6 foot if it weren't for the cigs!

  2. Fantastic post idea! I have a bucket list, but not an anti-bucket list. Yes, yes, I know it's a meme, but it's simply fantastic.

I love the gym-bunny one, I totally agree with that. Walking a dog is much more relaxing and a LOT less pressure too. There are so many great alternatives to the gym and there's usually cheaper too!

I like the one about swearing. I don't actually like swearing (it's because of my job lol. The drunks usually swear in a really offensive way), but in the right context, I definitely agree. I love how you've starred out the ones in that paragraph but not later on though ;) teehee. Very naughty! And no, I wouldn't give up swearing either ;) hypocrite that I am! teehee *more naughtiness*

I've only ever experiences "mild" turbulence... it scared the living sh*t out of me. I kept wondering if the plane was falling. It was my first flight too! Everyone else was really calm, chatting away *as you do...* and here's me all alone on the way to Rome, sh*tting myself and trying not to hyperventilate.... nice one Amy... Either way, I don't want to experience what's considered "bad turbulence", I really feel for you there.

    Great list!

    1. Karen came up with such a great idea!

You are right, the gym is expensive and just going for a walk is much cheaper!!

I can imagine that would be horrible at your work, drunks just make me feel scared anyway without the swearing.

What I experience was probably not even bad turbulence but I was a little freaked, ok I was a lot freaked but planes are built for it, but still scared me a lot yet my daughters slept all the way through it!!!

  4. Stop swearing? NEVER! I love your list. I tried to quit so many times, that I quit quitting. I use an e-cigarette now. So I didn't really quit, I just transferred my addiction. I don't ever want to go back to smoking.

  5. Not smoking again is a good one. My uncle recently had to stop because he needs to have major surgery and being smoke-free for six weeks before hand is a requirement. I sure hope it lasts for him. I really need to stop swearing. Not that I do it a lot. But it sure seems like I do it more than I did before I had my daughter. Maybe it just seems that way because I'm more conscious of what I say around her. Still, words sometimes slip out that shouldn't . . . This was a fun list. :-)

  7. This is a fun list and I just cancelled my gym membership so I don't see myself being a gym bunny in my future. Turbulence is scary and made me sick hours after we landed.

    1. Turbulence is the worst, hate it but flying is a big part of our holiday so can't avoid it!

  8. I used to be a 'social' smoker! What was I thinking of! Never again :) I go the gym but you'll never catch me in lycra!

  9. Oo turbulence can be so dang scary! Totally with ya. And on swearing! I wish I could find the photo meme of it but it was in response to those that say it shows a lack of intelligence and the person is all don't be jealous I can form a well thought out opinion and throw in a MF-er just for the hell of it. It had me cracking up!

    1. Swearing is not for everyone but I find a choice swear word can be better than an ordinary word!!

  10. I had quit smoking years ago, but when I started Uni again five years ago, I stupidly started :( Apart from that, your list is perfect! I don't swear overly much, but sometimes, there is just nothing else that really expresses my feelings the way a good f*¨#ing h*ll or something else can!
This was a very good list, and I kind of like the anti-bucket more than a bucket list. There are things I want to do , and places I want to visit, but I'm also mostly happy with what I am actually doing right now :)
    Have a great weekend Heather!

    1. Swear words though not big or clever are just perfect for use when some words just fall flat!!

I think once a smoker always a smoker, I know if I have even one I would start just like that!
