BIZARRE BOOKS #4 - Crafting With Cat Hair by Kaori Tsutaya

Whilst looking through the many, many, many books on Amazon I discovered some hidden gems, books that maybe have been overshadowed and have not had the credit they deserve.

They may be a little bizarre, they may be unintentionally funny or they may just be a total WTF!!! book.

This weekly post is a tribute to these hidden gems and to be honest some of them are worth looking at for their reviews alone!

I don't have the pleasure of owning of furry feline but if I did I would have to buy this book to solve the age old problem of what to do with all that cat hair.

Do you have a cat?

Do you have this problem?

You better look at this book now, it could change your life!

  1. I can't believe these are real books LOL. And one of the suggested books on that page- I Could Pee On This. I read one of the poems inside it and cracked up. This is awesome. :)

  2. That's...gross, lol. I am not a cat person, but I do have three dogs, one of which is an Australian Shepherd. There's tons of hair with him!

    1. I gave my cocker spaniel a trim today and the amount of hair that came from her could have knitted a jumper!

  3. Hahaha oh boy, I know a couple people who would probably do this. While high.

  4. lol!! Ok, I saw the book cover first and clicked on this post... Heather, I DO have a cat! This is more my mothers type of craft though... and although she's a cat owner, she's allergic to the fur :) Nothing serious, she just gets red and poofy. I love that some crazy person has thought of this though, it makes you wonder what planet they're on :P he he x

  5. Interesting... we have a husky and he sheds like crazy! Maybe there's some use for his hair, some techniques are maybe adaptable to dog hair?

  6. I've actually looked at this one. We may even own a copy at my library as a just for fun purchase. I sent the link to my sister when it was published as she actually has a cat that sheds a lot. There is another similar title for knitting sweaters with dog hair...

  7. I've heard of people spinning dog and even cat hair into yarn, but not turning it into other crafts. I think this goes in the "What will they think of next?!" category!

  8. I came across this book last year and recommended it to the epitomy of crazy cat lady authors, Lauren DeStefano. I saw that she added it to her Goodreads tbr, ha ha. I don't know whether it is serious or tounge-in-cheek either. I want to buy it for my sister who crafts and has 10 cats (one short of crazy cat lady), if I do I will let you know if it is funny or serious. :)
