The Sunday Post #20 - 4th October 2015

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I'm gonna recap my week and give you an idea of what I have coming up plus anything else newsworthy!

Why Princess Liz?, well today is me and hubby's 12th wedding anniversary! On this date 12 years ago I was a princess, yes I was!!

Anyway, this was a gorgeous.  Freezing foggy mornings and sunny afternoons, blissful!

Today we went to the golf at St Andrews, the Dunhill Links championship.  It is a pro-am competition, needless to say there was one celebrity there that everyone wanted to see.....

Yes, Christian Grey was there aka Jamie Dornan, nope I didn't see him or anyone remotely famous.  But it was a lovely day, St Andrews is beautiful and I got to go to Starbucks after and have a Pumpkin Spice Latte so that made up for no celebs, fickle I know!

In other news my web browser keeps freezing, I use Google Chrome on a laptop, anybody has this problem? It has already frozen half a dozen times whilst doing this, in fact I abandoned my A to Z of Dystopia post until I get it sorted as it was make me crabby, the browser not the post.

Blog Ahead is going well and I have 3 scheduled posts for November, which may not sound like a lot but for me it is good as I really don't do much scheduling at all! I also have a lot of draft posts set up as placeholders for future scheduled posts.

Hope everyone doing Blog Ahead is having a fun time!

Have a great week everyone.

  1. Happy Anniversary! Oh I love golf so that sounds great. And Jamie Dornan is so good looking but after watching The Fall he gives me the creeps. Good job on the Blog Ahead! Hope you enjoy your new books!

  2. Happy anniversary! St. Andrews sound great, would love to go there sometime. And pumpkin spice lattes- those are so good. I like this time of year for all those seasonal drinks ha ha.

The Brody books look good, the one you reviewed and another by her caught my eye but it looks like they many not be available here. I'll dig a little deeper, may have to order from Amazon UK which is no big deal. I like the country mysteries.

Hyperbole and a Half I'll bet is good...

    Congrats on the new car!

    1. I hate it when books aren't not available worldwide, her books are worth a read, her main character is like a young Miss Marple.

St Andrews is beautiful, a good mix of old and new!

  3. I'm losing the battle with the tbr at the moment, looking at the pile of sale books yet to be uploaded to Goodreads. Maybe I should just upload them all and ignore my tbr total for a while until I get some of these varmints read! I'm not sure that uploading them a bit at a time then madly reading to keep the total near 500 is fooling anybody! Gah! I blame Amazon for their pesky sales!

  9. That's weird your wbe browser keeps freezing. I don't use google chrome, so I don't know much about that. Maybe check if any of your plugins are the problem?

That's a great start for Blog Ahead. I only got one post done that counts so far and tow for October that don't count. Most of my blogging is done towards the dn of the month though, so any progress I make before that is just an extra benefit. I hope you have a great week!

    1. I'll check the plugins out, it is annoying as it can go for hours and then freeze several times in a short space of time.

  12. Happy anniversary! And urrrggh nothing like computer problems to make you dread blogging and to turn your Blog Ahead in to a chore but it sounds like you are doing great despite that. St Andrews always looks fab on TV.

  18. I'm sorry I can't help you with your Google Chrome problem, I use Safari :) I don't really have any problems on it to be honest.
I was going to join that blog ahead challenge, I'm scheduling a lot of posts this month for my holiday week (so I'm not away and not posting)... but it's a little intimidating! If it was a lower number, I would :) I already schedule posts for the following week so it's a no-go. I'm still going to try and do as many as I can thought for giggles and all that :D I hope it goes well for you!
    Have a great week!

  20. Happy Anniversary! Pumpkin Spice latte sounds delicious, probably not for us in the middle of a Spring heatwave lol ... maybe a frappe instead. Well done on Blog Ahead, I think 3 posts already scheduled for Novemeber is a great effort. I should have participated, I very rarely get anything scheduled more than a day or two ahead of time.
I've had rare occasions when Chrome freezes, gets a bit bogged down. If it's the same cause, try emptying cache and restart, worth a try. Have a good week and happy reading :)

  21. I hope we both get some good posts scheduled for Blog Ahead. I'm terrible at scheduling too. Congrats on the new car, maybe? I hate having to get a new car. Thanks for stopping by!

  23. Happy Anniversary! Glad you got to enjoy a PSL even if you didn't get to see Jamie Dornan. :)

I use Google Chrome all the time at work and home but haven't had any freezing problems with it. I wonder if maybe it is a plug in issue? I used to have problems with plug ins that would quit working and shockwave flash crashing and then I'd have to reload the website. Good luck!

Blog Ahead sounds like a good idea. I am behind on writing reviews. I meant to get caught up this past weekend but instead I started binge watching Scandal on Netflix. I had good intentions...
