The Sunday Post #26 - 15th November 2015

sunday post, book blog, blogger, weekly review

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I'm gonna recap my week and give you an idea of what I have coming up plus anything else newsworthy!

So I usually would go on about the highs and lows of my week but to be honest it is insignificant in comparison with what happened in Paris on Friday.

My thoughts go out to the victims and their families.

  3. Several of those books look good- and keep the SciFi posts coming! :)

Hope you enjoy the Marissa Meyer books- she was in our state for a signing a few months ago but it was up north and I wasn't in the area. A lot of people were excited though.

Thanks too for the shoutout! :)

  4. I'm looking forward to starting the Lunar Chronicles and can't wait to see what everyone thinks of Winter. The Bryant and May book seems incredibly familiar but I can't place it. Brain is overtired so I'll have to go on Amazon to figure it out! Have a lovely week and enjoy your new reads!

  7. That Garfield pic is funny ! I had started reading PP & zombies, but gave up on it, I guess it didn't have much to do with the book, just my own feelings ;) Enjoy your new haul !

    1. Oh that is a shame about P&P&Z, I haven't started it yet so I may feel the same!

  8. I felt the same in my Sunday Post, it just didn't seem right to ramble on about my usual bookish nonsense. I hate what has happened and all the hate and backlash that is now going on.

On a nicer note, I hope you love Cinder! It's such a fab series and I can't wait to get my copy Winter someday soon.

  10. It's getting to the stage that it won't be safe to go outside in any country with these gutless psychos running around killing people. I hope there is a Hell and that they are rotting in it right now.

  14. Yeah, Winter is here! My daughter devoured the book in 2 days. I almost had to duck tape her mouth to get her to stop trying to spoil it for me. I recently acquired Pride and Prejudice and Zombies as well, I hope we both enjoy it. Happy reading, my friend!

That's why I am glad my pair are still to young to steal my books because they have big mouths and would spoil everything!!!

  15. I've actually not read any reviews of Pride & Prejudice & Zombies, so keen to hear what you think.

And I know what you mean about your intro and Paris. I'd written something quite trite but changed it after the events of the weekend.

  21. My sister is doing a year abroad in Paris and was actually there when it happened. She would've been in one of the areas which was attacked if her babysitter hadn't asked her to come in and babysit at last minute. I was and still am so glad to know that she was safe <3 My heart goes out to all those effected or who lost someone in any way <3

As for books. my copy of Winter came today! I am trying my best to hold off on reading it because I need to finish my 2015 reading challenge first, but it isn't easy xD
