The Sunday Post #36 - 31st January 2016

sunday post, book blog, blogger, weekly review

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I'm gonna recap my week and give you an idea of what I have coming up plus anything else newsworthy!

Hello! How are you all, right non blog life out the way first, family are fine, work is fine, weather is shit.

Right now I have that out they way I want to talk about this.

I started reading Cinder!

Yes, that's right, even my dog (meet Fern!) loves it and even though I am only three quarters of the way through and I love it.  I am totally having what I believe is called fangirl feels!!

It is well written, it has awesome characters and I want my own little android like Iko.  Such sass from someone so metal.  Reminds of my favourite robot Bender but without the alcoholism and kleptomania.

However I have a couple of worries/questions....

What if the next books are awful?
What if the next books are awesome and this series ruins every other book for me?
Is the Lunar Chronicles the most instagrammed book ever?

Any hoo, I love it.  Plus the whole moon thing has me curious.  The bad queen woman has just came to Earth and she seems a total bitch so I can't wait to see what shit she creates plus there are spin off books which hopefully will bring some background info to me.

Anyway it is great, I wish I had read it years ago!

Have a good week everyone!

I love my Funko collection and they have some create collections coming up notable Clueless and Battlestar Galactica!

  2. Glad you're loving the book so much. I've got the JD Robb and it's on my agenda next. Keen to hear what you think of Dead House.. it was a weird one.

Sorry the weather's so shitty. It's a bit like that here at the moment as well but I'm hoping our storm season disappears as summer here starts to fade!

  9. I am glad to hear you're enjoying Cinder, it's on my to-read list. Eventually I want to read it, but I haven't been in a hurry to buy a copy yet. Everyone seems to love the series, and while I normally am not a fan of fairytale retellings I convinced myself I need to try at least this series. I hope you'll have a great week!

  15. Yay, I'm so happy you are enjoying Cinder. I hope you like the other ones! A lot of people LOVE Cress (and that's the third one) so definitely a series you should read all the way through to see what you think. I still have to read Fairest (the mini book about Levana) and Winter, but I own both, so those are coming up soon! :)

I love those Funko Pops. I need to start collecting them. I want sooo many especially the Harry Potter ones and pretty much anything Disney. haha

Oh, and I just read The Dead House so I hope you enjoy it. I really liked it. Such a unique way of telling a story.
