The Sunday Post #50 - 29th May 2016

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by the lovely Kimba at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

I am going to recap my week, ramble about books and give you an idea of what I have coming up plus anything else newsworthy!

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well!

Still tired and cranky this week but on the plus side it is a bank holiday weekend so YAY!!!

Been doing lots behind the scenes such as catching up with comments and tweaking tags and stuff like that.

Most of my time this week has been spent reading The Twelve and City of Mirrors by Justin Cronin, it is the best, the story is totally epic and I can't wait to see how it ends.

Have a good week!

Who knows, I am not great at planning!

A lie in!!!!!

My picks from this week in years gone by!!

2015 - I reviewed Forever Between by Ann Christy

2014 - I reviewed The Three by Sarah Lotz

I have received physical and e-copies of some fab books this week, thank you to all the publishers for sending them! Also, some of them are my own purchases, the pics link to Goodreads for you to find out more!

I already have the ARC of this one but wanted a physical copy to enjoy too!

nothing!

Let me know if you have read any of them!

Happy Sunday!

  1. Yay for the bank holiday. It's Memorial Day weekend here so those of us in the States will be grilling out and having an extra day off too. :) Six of crows kinda has a cool cover and so does Crosstalk- haven't seen that one before but I like the labyrinth-y thing.

  2. I love your meme! LOL, it's like the opposite of my current problem. I can't read, because I've been too busy sleeping. Doh!

  3. Is The City of Mirrors the third in a trilogy? I received it by mistake if so - from Hachette who only ever send what I request - so I posted my copy to a friend who said she's a fan. I'd never heard of it but now am seeing it EVERYWHERE.

She was beyond excited when it arrived on Friday!

I've had a crappy week too this week - feeling unwell in general and a constant headache that feels like a hangover. Hopefully we'll have better weeks this week! xx

  4. Machinations has a great cover and I think it sounds pretty interesting. It's different from what I normally read but a change can be nice sometimes. I might just check this out at some point. Enjoy your books and your lie in!

  5. I've read Doomsday by Connie Willis, but haven't tracked down Crosstalk so I'll be keen to see what you make of it - Doomsday is a fantastic read, so hopefully you'll enjoy it:). And I've also got Machinations lined up to read, so again, it'll be intriguing to see what you make of it. Have a great Bank Holiday break and fingers crossed it doesn't rain!

  8. Which reminds me... I need to read Ruin and Rising so I can start the new trilogy. I know I don't need to, but I like things neat and orderly. Ha ha. We have a holiday on Monday, too, so cheers! Enjoy the Cronin books. Have a wonderful week.
