The Sunday Post #55 - 24th July 2016

Welcome to my Sunday Post, a weekly meme hosted by Kimberley over at the Caffeinated Book Reviewer . Join me as I ramble about my week in and out of the blogosphere.

Hello, how you doing?

My holiday is over and I am back at work, it is pure bliss.

My weeks holiday was wonderful but my kids have far too much energy for my liking, on the plus side they discovered Harry Potter this week albeit the films but they are casting spells left right and centre.

Not a lot else happening apart from my incessant planning of Orlando 2016 and my joy at finally getting to see The Late Late Show with James Corden actually on UK television.

Happy reading book bunnies!
Well actually last two weeks since I didn't Sunday Post last week.

2015 - I reviewed Pawnee by Leslie Knope

2014 - I reviewed Surviving the Evacuation #1 by Frank Tayell

  1. Ha ha that's funny you're actually glad to be BACK at work! Good luck with planning Orlando- going anymore is huge undertaking planning wise but it's worth it!

I want to read Paper Girls.

  2. Hey there. I've been awol for the last couple of weeks so just catching up. I'm glad you're relieved to be back at work and hope the feeling lasts a while.

As for Harry Potter.... meh, but on a positive note, it's good the kids like reading?!

  3. LOL my bookclub (aka ME!) also drinks wine ;)
Kids with too much energy is probably a good thing - if that energy can be channeled in a way that still permits us to read, right?
I'm glad your vacation was good, Heather, even if you seem happy to be back to work.
Have a wonderful week ahead and happy reading.

  4. I'm quite happy that I never decided to have kids-I'm not the maternal type! There aren't many young kids around here so even in the holidays it doesn't really get noisy so I'm ok with that. Yea for getting yours into Harry Potter! I started my reading life with Enid Blyton but discovering Harry Potter in 2002 reawakened my love of reading. Thank you JK Rowling for my huge tbr!!!

  5. Sadly, I've never read nor seen the movies for Harry Potter. *gasps* I missed the train to Hogwarts, but I'm happy your kids enjoyed the movies. One of these days when books stop releasing, I'll get around to reading HP. I would love to read Curious Minds because I haven't read a Janet Evanovich in so long, and I've heard this one is more funny than Stephanie Plum. Enjoy your day! <a href="http://kathyreads.com/bookspiration-snapshot-july-24/>My Sunday post</a>

  10. Yay for Harry Potter! I was approved for The Wangs Vs. the Workd, but it wasn't a Kindle download, which is weird because it isn't a graphic novel. Have you read any of the Grisha books? I haven't read Ruin and Rising yet, but I will be doing that soon. Have a wonderful new week.

    1. My Wangs (that sounds rude) was a kindle file, still to read it though!! Nope I started reading Six of Crows and decided that I would like a physical copy instead.

  11. Oh my God that book club picture is hilarious! I'm with you on going back to work after a few weeks home being bliss. My return to bliss is when they go back to school and I'm able to actually finish a thought again! Enjoy your Orlando planning. I love planning vacations. It's always such fun. Have a great week!

  12. I need to read Siege and Storm. I love the cartoon about the book club. There are people at the bookstore where I work that always pick what I call "fancy literature" for their staff recommendations, and I'm all YA and Romance/New Adult books. I recommend what I enjoy. :-) Have a great week!
